Bar Supervisor
Description
The Bar Supervisor will plan, direct, and oversee all bar operations including managing other bar staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee operations in the bar.
- Oversee the creation and modification of cocktail and mocktail recipes
- Preparation of cocktails and beverages according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Oversee the bar stock and order supplies as needed
- Monitor cleanliness and hygiene of the bar area.
- Promote and practice compliance with fire, health, safety and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Oversee the bar display to maximize functionality and attractiveness.
- Set, monitor and control the budget for the beverage unit/department.
- Handle customer complaints and inquiries.
- Set duty schedules and manage attendance of bar staff.
Qualifications
- Relevant training certification.
- Proven experience as a bar supervisor or relevant supervisory role in a recognised hospitality institution.
- Excellent knowledge of wines and spirits
- Sound knowledge of mixed beverages/cocktails, drink preparation, and bar equipment.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a sociable demeanor.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
