Position title
Foreman
Description

Responsible for coordinating workers at construction site, in order to ensure well-established practices and
manages defined scope of work. Support the site Engineer to implement the project milestones and
demonstrate initiative on problem solving within assigned tasks.

Responsibilities
  1. Report project progress to Site Engineers and the Directors as required.
  2.  Assign tasks to construction workers.
  3. Develop a work schedule for their assigned site workers.
  4.  Supervise all construction workers.
  5.  Solve disputes between workers.
  6.  Ensure that a project is adequately staffed.
  7. Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets and procedures.
  8. Managing project resources including materials.
  9. Track tasks against the project schedule.
  10. Ensuring that the site meets all health and safety regulations.
  11. Ensure regular on-site toolbox talks for staff on safety precautions based on approved Method
    Statements/Safe Systems of Work
  12. Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
Qualifications
  1. Proven experience as construction foreman.
  2. Excellence and organizational and leadership skills
  3. Strong communication skills
  4. Creativity and an ability to produce innovative and original ideas
  5. Time and project management skills
  6. Multi-tasking skills – the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
